Mikayla x Glamlite

Mikayla Nogueira joined TikTok in March of 2020, by August of the same year she had 1 million followers on the platform. Today, she has 8.1 million and 1.3 followers on TikTok and Instagram, respectively.

As Mikayla's platform grew, many brands reached out in hopes of a potential collaboration with the new influencer. However, she decided stay true to the brands she loved even before the fame. Therefore, Mikayla decided to team up a smaller, indie brand called Glamlite Cosmetics to create a collection together, Glamlite has a much smaller following than Mikayla with only 508,000 followers on Instagram and just over 50,000 on TikTok. The influencer posted a series of 10 posts in regards to the collaboration leading up to its launch on June 13, 2021. The collection sold out in mere hours after its launch.

The TikTok content posted on Glamlite's account regarding the collaboration received anywhere from 40,000 to over 600,000 views compared to their usual view count of about 10,000. The reveal of the Mikalya x Glamlite collab on Instagram got the indie brand over 28,000 likes, whereas they average about 5,000-10,000 likes on their usual posts.

Glamlite's social media gained great exposure and generated amazing sales as a result of the collaboration with Mikayla Nogueira. Mikayla has been a huge catalyst of making Glamlite Cosmetics a more mainstream brand in the beauty community.
